How time flies! Though we’ve had plenty of snow in Sissinghurst over the past week, Christmas is far behind us and we’re doing what we can to bring on the arrival of Spring…
Our seasonal Mid-Winter Dining Menu has gone down a treat with hearty dishes to suit the weather. Our new warm corned beef hash, langoustine thermidor and marjoram & thyme venison loin have gone down particularly well!
We’re absolutely thrilled to have been nominated as a finalist for Dining Pub of the Year in Produced in Kent’s 2015 Taste of Kent Awards – thank you to everyone who gave us their vote.
And with so many things to celebrate coming up, we’ve had no choice but to plan lots of great events in the run up to Easter’s celebration of hope, new life… and chocolate!
Our Dining Room is looking busy on Saturday night, happy couples sharing the love with someone special at The Milk House on Valentine’s Day. We’d Do Anything Thing For Love because it’s The First, The Last, Our Everything,… (naturally) our special dining menu has been inspired by classic love songs!
But it won’t just be the food of love at The Milk House – we’ve got the music too, with the talented Olivia Jageurs joining us with her harp for some romantic renditions.
And we hope you’ll fall in love with our special pink cocktails in the bar, Truly, Madly and Deeply!
We’ll be marking Shrove Tuesday next week with a selection of flippin’ fabulous pancakes alongside our Grazing and Pudding menus.
And in case you’re already making plans for Mothering Sunday, our menu is now online or you can click here to download it. It includes coffee, chocolates, and a pretty milk bottle posy created by Sophie from Astilbe & Sorrel too!
Our Children’s Menu will be available for little ones, while older children can enjoy a grown-up Sunday lunch with two courses to suit smaller tummies. So bring the family together to celebrate at The Milk House.
Alongside all this we’ll be showing all the RBS 6 Nations rugby games on our big screen. So join the scrum in Sissinghurst, tackle a pint or two and enjoy a ferocious display of sporting prowess!
There’s only a month to wait until Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens reopen and we can’t wait. To see them in their full Spring glory, why not book a special weekend away with a stay in one of our four beautiful bedrooms?
But whether you’re with us for a weekend, or just dropping by for a pint, we hope to see you soon.
And if you’re popping in, be sure to check out the new artwork adorning our walls from Brighton-based landscape, seascape and portrait artist Tony Parsons!
