That’s right everybody, it’s nearly here…. Milk Fest 2016 kicks off tomorrow! The beer’s in the cellar, the stage has been raised and after a week bathed in sunshine, we hope you’re in full summer swing and ready to enjoy a weekend of celebrations at The Milk House all the way through to Monday evening.

It all begins tomorrow night with music from singer-songwriters Chaz Stapley and Sam Easton, followed by some fiercely good folk rock from theVan Susans. Don’t miss our specially-created Summer Spritzers designed to get you in the party mood and welcome in the weekend. Which cocktail takes your fancy? The Crocked Canary, The Flushed Flamingo, Tipsy Toucan, Pickled Parrot or Potted Peacock? It’s Friday night, so why not try all five?

On Saturday, bring the family to the seaside in Sissinghurst for a fabulous family fun day. Settle into a deck chair while the children enjoy the bouncy sandcastle, face-painting and buckets of fun the sandpit. Stay for lunch or dinner and enjoy our BBQ on the Terrace accompanied by a feast for the ears with tunes from Daniel Rimmer, Valerio Lysander, Alibi and I am Aquitaine, before Box of Frogs and Lee Golledge rock us into the evening!

Festival fever continues on Sunday with our Homegrown & Handmade fair showcasing some of our favourite local producers – Moons Green Charcuterie, Claire’s Bread, Wylde & Shrub, The Potato Shop, Kent Crisps,Bardsley Farms’, Anno Distillers and Astilbe & Sorrel.

Our full fat festival BBQ continues all afternoon and the evening while the music plays on. There’ll be performances from Ramblin’ Rags, Kyla Stroud,Jack Standen, Nick Eve and The Good Ship Band, with Carly Bryant rocking us into the night. Our Dining Room will be open for Sunday lunch and dinner too.

On Monday don’t miss the Sissinghurst Village Fete and then join us back at The Milk House for Happy Hour from 5–7pm while Caleb Howard-Almond,Milky Negro, Tarot Rats and Jet Black Bees.

Join us for the Bank Holiday’s last hurrah, because summer comes but once a year!

We hope to see you soon!

Best wishes,

Team Milk House
