The sun’s out, we’ve just enjoyed the year’s most glorious weekend and there’s a long four days of feasting, family time and chocolatey excess to look forward to. The bluebells are coming up, the lambs are in the field and there’s a feeling in the air that Winter is most definitely behind us.
In Sissinghurst, our new Spring menus are packed with seasonal ingredients and fresh flavours. To get your taste buds tingling – think lamb, spring chicken, baby new potatoes, courgettes, pea shoots and fresh soft herbs.

Bring the family together this Easter at The Milk House for a real Spring celebration. On Easter Sunday, we’re serving an ‘all day Easter lunch’ with a special set menu in the Dining Room finished off with delicious chocolatey eggs – what else?!
For smaller tummies, there’s a children’s menu with baby portions of big favourites. If you haven’t made plans for Sunday, there may still be a spot for you in our Dining Room as we’re extending our Easter lunch service until 6pm – but book soon!
Of course, no Easter would be complete without hot cross buns, so we’ll be serving them – smothered in creamy South Downs butter – all weekend.
We’re getting all fired up about the opening of the pizza oven! It’s time for the Happy Piggy, Plucky Hen, Angry Ox and all their friends to come out of hibernation and be part of our long summer lunches on our terrace. We hope you’ll join them.
There’s no need to book in the bar or on the terrace, so if you want to soak up the sunshine, just come along and enjoy.
Everyone loves an excuse for a party – and with pizza back on the menu, the May Bank Holiday weekend seems the perfect opportunity to celebrate la dolce vita. We’ve invited a cavalcade of Italian scooters to join us for a pizza the action on Saturday 29 April.

Last Autumn we opened The Barrow House in Egerton and she’s grown so much in the last six months.
