We love this time of year: Spring is in the air and Summer’s ahead, so we’ve been making plans to get the most out of the seasons in the Garden of England…
April
We’ve been hearing the chat about drinking less, and had a wonderful time sampling many delicious ‘saintly softs’ during Dry January, so have now added them all to our drinks list! On 1 April, our new drink offer became available in our bar and dining room – we very much hope it will tipple your fancy.
Having also enjoyed tasting some Summery wines, we have a new selection of delicious lighter seasonal reds and whites, alongside an assortment of non-alcoholic spirits and mocktails. Designated drivers can enjoy a Seedlip, Virgin Mojito, or alcohol-free lager or pale ale, plus we’re introducing Peroni’s new gluten-free option. And with a range of Fever-Tree tonics and classic cocktails also on offer – including a Pornstar Martini – we’re ready and braced for enjoying our sun-soaked terrace!
We’re also excited to let you know that The Happy Piggy, The Angry Ox, The Peter Rabbit and the rest of the Pizza Gang are all out of hibernation. Our wood-fired pizza oven is now back up to temperature, and we have all the old favourites returning to the menu, so make sure you get your pizza the action at The Milk House. Remember, pizzas are only served in the bar and the garden.
Finally, the Easter Bank Holiday weekend is here, and we’ve lots lined up to make Easter a feaster at The Milk House. There’s egg-citing Easter crafting on Good Friday between 4pm and 6pm for creative little bunnies, who will be painting decorations, icing biscuits, making Easter Bunny hats, and having plenty of Easter egg fun. Join us for crafting, pizza and ice cream for £10 per child – booking highly recommended.

Make Easter Monday a feaster too! Start your day at The Milk House with our Feaster Easter Monday Brunch menu. We’ve got grown-up and children’s options, so you can join us as a family – and if adults want to make it bottomless, we’d be more than happy to oblige. On Wednesday 1 May, there will be May Day merriment at The Milk House with the marvellous Morris Men! The Weald of Kent Morris Men start dancing at dawn, and conclude their tour with us on the terrace at 1pm. Be sure to have your handkerchiefs at the ready for their last dance on May Day!

Put your general knowledge to the test over a pint this Bank Holiday weekend with our TMH Quiz Night. With no work the next day, we’re hosting a fun, relaxed pub quiz, where you can pit your wits against friends and foes, and release your inner Einstein for five challenging rounds and great prizes. £1 quiz entry, teams of two to six people.
