What glorious weather we’ve been having! It’s so nearly summertime in Sissinghurst and we can’t wait to make the most of the longer, warmer days. There are so many treats to look forward to, from the bounty of Kent berries to the spectacular spread of summer fairs and festivals…
But for now… (drum roll please…) we’re super super excited to be officially reopening our pizza oven, just in time for families and friends to make the most of May Day and the Bank Holiday Weekend!
Due to popular demand, we’re launching a Children’s Pizza Menu, alongside our adult options with delightful Dairy Calves and heavenly Happy Piglets waiting to join the prize pen. There’s also a ‘build your own farmyard’ option, to suit the more ‘particular’ tastes of small diners…
Accompanied best with a side of sunshine, we can’t wait for you to try our new DIY ice cream sundaes too. Pick your favourite flavour and then go mad for toppings. Mini marshmallows, whippy cream or the traditional chocolate flake… what’s your vice?
But here’s for the big news… we can’t wait to unveil our new outside bar – the TMH Hopper Hut! Inspired by the temporary huts provided for hop-pickers on Kentish farms in the 19th century, it’ll be the perfect ‘hopstop’ for a cold bottled beer, jug of Pimm’s or glass of rosé this summer.
We hope you’ll join us for the launch tonight, or to celebrate May Day. We’re being joined by the Weald of Kent Morris dancers at midday and we’re certain you won’t want to miss out!
