Sissinghurst is the perfect place for a family day out, especially during the warmer months, with the historic castle and gardens just half a mile’s walk from The Milk House. Cranbrook, Kent’s smallest town and one of the prettiest, is 1.8 miles from Sissinghurst village. The journey takes five minutes by road, and there are regular buses. Alternatively, a pleasant route can be taken on foot across the fields.

From nearby Staplehurst station, you can reach London by train in less than an hour. If you’re hitting the road instead, our car park is ample. Both The Channel Tunnel and Dover are within an hour’s drive. Gatwick Airport is about an hour away with Heathrow and Stansted not much further.
